The Birth of Greenboard Engineering

Before the Foundation

The purpose of this post is to provide context on the circumstances that led to the founding of Greenboard Engineering, our motivations, and the objectives guiding us toward the future.

From a young age, I always had a desire to work with electronics. Initially, I didn’t imagine this would lead me to develop major projects. My first experiences involved repairing broken audio equipment at home. I still remember the feeling of fixing my first device: a mix of euphoria and disbelief. Euphoria because I made something work again; disbelief because, at the time, I knew almost nothing about electronics — everything was done through trial and error.

Back then, my brother was studying for a Technical Degree in Electronics at one of São Paulo’s technical schools, managed by Centro Paula Souza. After some time, motivated by my repair experiences and, above all, by the desire to honor the memory of my brother, who had recently passed away, I decided to follow in his footsteps. I enrolled in a Technical Degree in Electronics at ETEC Arthur Alvim, also managed by Centro Paula Souza.

After completing the technical course, I moved from São Paulo to Curitiba, where I graduated in Electrical Engineering from Unifacear University Center. Later, I completed a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR).

Throughout my professional journey, I worked on developing various types of products — from energy systems such as UPS, solar inverters, wind rectifiers, battery chargers, and Battery Management Systems (BMS), to automotive, audio, and other projects. Always with a focus on all stages: from defining technical requirements to the final product delivery.

The Turning Point

After completing my Master’s degree, I identified a clear market opportunity: many companies lack the demand to maintain an in-house engineering team or find it unstrategic to keep a dedicated product development team. This gap — the lack of companies specializing in on-demand technology development — was the trigger that motivated me to create Greenboard Engineering.

Thus, the company was born in 2023, with the mission to address this market need and bring innovation to the sector, whether through highly specialized engineering services or the development of proprietary products for critical applications, such as robust power supplies and advanced control systems.

Initial Challenges

One of the first challenges we faced was creating a methodology that allowed clients to express their needs clearly and objectively, without communication noise. Anyone who works in product development knows that understanding exactly what the client needs is one of the biggest challenges.

For this reason, from the first contact, we strive to align all expectations and requirements with maximum clarity and empathy, ensuring that the final result is a product that fully meets the client’s needs.

First Projects

From the outset, we had the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects, such as:

• Power supplies for specific and critical loads;
• LED lighting systems for indoor vegetable cultivation;
• Equipment designed for harsh environments and extreme weather conditions;
• High-precision control systems;
• Parameterization and control applications via Bluetooth Low Energy and USB.

Each of these projects helped solidify our methodology and allowed us to evolve technically and structurally.
